An element meta (or métaélément, or meta, or meta tag by analogy with English marks out) is information on the nature and the contents of a Web page, added in the heading of the page by means of markers HTML.
The element meta is a type of elements HTML (like the element link…) intended to provide metadata structured on a Web page. This element must be placed as marks out (“tag”) in the section head of a document HTML, between the marks < head> and < /head>.
The elements meta are invisible with the reading.
